Thank you for considering MCSC. Centrally located in Santa Cruz County with generous parking and easy freeway access, the MCSC Main or Annex halls are available to rent by individuals and non-profit organizations for special events such as receptions, workshops, recitals, expos and dances. Please review the following to help you plan your event.

The Main Hall. A spacious room that accommodates many types of events: weddings, receptions, dances, lectures, expos and memorials. A large screen TV and PA system are available. The hardwood floor is specially designed for dancing. Room capacity: 3400 sq. ft, seated 185, dining 140.

The Annex. A well-lit space overlooking our garden, the Annex includes a kitchenette, microwave and sink. The room functions well for parties, meetings, and receptions. A large screen TV, Projector and drop down screen are available. Room capacity: 1700 sq. ft, seated 80, dining 50.

Commercial kitchen. Adjoining the Main Hall, the kitchen is available for your special event and is required if alcohol (beer, wine or champagne) will be served. For serving only, the flat fee is $150, for cooking and food prep, $250. plus a $150 deposit. Limitations apply.

Additional services & fees:
Janitorial: Depending on the type of event and the number of people, we may add an additional janitorial fee to do a more thorough cleanup. $35/hour.
Setup: For an optional fee, MCSC will setup tables and chairs to your layout. $35/hour.
Electronics: Projector screen (Annex only), Microphone, Big Screen TV with HDMI connection are available and require an additional $100 security deposit per item.
MCSC Representative. A representative of the Center will open/close the facility and for most rentals, remain onsite during your event to assist with any issues or concerns. $30/hour.

Where to start.
First, check the calendar to see if your preferred date is available. Then complete the Rental Application form. We will review, confirm if the date and time is available and get back to you with an Estimate. If the estimate meets with your approval, we will prepare a Rental Agreement. We reserve the right to reject any application and cannot accommodate for profit business.

What’s included?
Tables & chairs: Tables and chairs are included in the rental fee.
Parking: 65 spaces and 5 handicap slots

What’s required?
Insurance: Renters are required to provide a certificate of liability insurance showing MCSC as an additional insured for not less than $1,000,000. Your business or homeowners policy may cover you, otherwise MCSC has an arrangement with Hub International for event insurance, you can purchase insurance online with Eventinsure.com.
Payment: A security deposit is required to reserve your date and full payment is required not less than 30 days prior to your event.
Cleanup: Renters are expected to leave the hall as they found it–clean, waste free with all tables and chairs in their original position.
Security: If alcohol (beer, wine or champagne only) will be served, rental of the Main Hall and Kitchen is required as alcohol can only be served from behind the kitchen roll-up door. Depending on the type of event and the number of guests, MCSC may require that you retain professional security services.

Rental Application form
Plan your reservation time. All set up and clean up time needs to be included in the rental time frame, including decorating, food preparation, delivery or pick up of supplies or rental equipment.
Terms and Conditions of Use. When your application is approved, you will receive an Agreement and Terms & Conditions. Review the Ts&Cs and please share with any person assisting you and your event. Including caterers, musicians, friends or vendors who will assist with the set up and clean up responsibilities, decorating or other services so that they are aware of MCSC policies.
