Ikebana Japanese Floral Arranging Workshop. Every 3rd Saturday in the Annex 10:00-2:00. Ikebana is the art of arranging flowers to bring out their inherent beauty as well as the beauty of one’s own spirit. Cost is $10 plus a $20 materials fee for flowers and supplies. Yes And … a Side of Fun! – Improv Class, Wednesday, 10-11:30AM
This is a class in which participants learn the basic fundamentals of dramatic improvisation and have
an enjoyable experience of the art of “Improv”, through fun games and exercises, in a safe, supportive
and loving community. It is open to anyone who is interested in self-expression, who likes to make
up skits and play “pretend”, expressing one’s imagination.

Memoirs & More – Writing Workshop: This workshop carries forward and builds upon the writing classes at MCSC that were created and led by Teresa Dance over the past few years. The focus is on telling the stories of our lives through exploring such creative avenues as Memoir, Autobiography, Confession and more.
The class will also delve into other approaches to self-revelation including creative non-fiction, fiction, and and even playwriting. The focus is on discovery, having fun, and expanding our pleasure in the writing process. The class is open to anyone who enjoys writing and wishes to share their enjoyment with other writers. We will write in class and bring work from home for comment and support.
Instructor Mark Bradlyn is a published writer whose short stories, essays, and non-fiction articles have appeared in numerous literary magazines, journals, and local newspapers. Several of his original short plays have been staged at Santa Cruz Actors’ Theatre and at Cabrillo College. He is the recipient of the James B. Hall Fiction Award for a short story published in Porter Gulch Review.
